I've got a couple friends that either still own or have owned them and never really had anything significant happen to them.ĭownsides to the M3? Brakes aren't as good as my F30, less room, older car, more expensive running costs (though maybe not if driving less than 7,500 miles/yr). The M3 in E90 guise is also pretty damn reliable. M3 is a different driving experience, there's always going to be a soft spot in my hear for the E90 M3 sedan, since I lusted after the M3 Sedan since the E36, it didn't exist for the E46.and came back for the E90. While the E90 is a touch smaller, I could still make it work with the girls in a pinch and would have a slightly bigger sedan in the garage as well for hauling them around most of the time. Then dumping the F30 for something like a 2011 M3 Sedan.

Perhaps going with something more mundane but 6MT for a daily driver.GTI, Accord Sport, Mazda6, basically dumping the FR-S. It's got me thinking about shuffling the garage a bit after the first of the year. Additionally the steering the FR-S is awesome and reminds me a lot of my friends' various E90 cars. My weekender was a Z06 but I sold it and "downgraded" to an FR-S so I could basically beat the crap out of it all the time and it's a total blast.īut every time I drive the FR-S I miss the manual trans which I had driven daily for 15+ years prior to my F30. Guys, right now I have my 335i M Sport 8AT which is my daily.
